Introduction to Mock Objects |
|
Outline |
: |
Steve will introduce the concepts of growing a codebase using TDD with Mock objects. Using this technique you will learn how to use unit tests
directly to guide the design of the domain code, drawing out interfaces and implementations from the needs that each test identifies. Steve will show how difficulties
in testing can be used to suggest improvements in the code. The examples will be based on jMock, although the underlying principles are generic.
Following the Intro presentation and discussion, Steve will work through a small example with the audience using the Coding Dojo format.
