How to reach Goa University ?

Jet Airways, Kingfisher Airlines, SpiceJet, IndiGo, Indian Airlines, Air Deccan and many more airlines run daily flights connecting Mumbai, Delhi, Hydrabad and Bangalore to Goa. A cab from the airport to the Centre costs around Rs 400.

BY RAIL

From Mumbai
Five direct trains connect Mumbai to Goa. Konkan Kanya (leaving Mumbai CST at 10:30 pm) and Mandovi Express (leaving Mumbai at 5:15 am) are good travel options. Jan Shatabdi runs from Kurla Terminus at 5:35 am reaches Goa by the afternoon. A ticket for three-tier AC sleeper costs about Rs 750 while a chair car costs about Rs 450. Remember to get off at Karmali station, which is closest to the centre.

From Delhi
The fastest train (26 hours) is Rajdhani to Ernakulam. It runs two days in a week and arrives at Margaon in Goa in the afternoon. Goa Express or Mangala Express, also from Delhi, takes about 36 hours to reach Margaon.

From Bangalore
There is a train connecting Bangalore and Goa twice a week. The Vasco Express leaves Bangalore on Tuesdays & Fridays at around 4:30 pm and reaches Goa by 7:00 am the next day. You have to get down at Vasco station and could either take a taxi straight to Dona Paula or take a bus to Panjim and then a taxi/auto to get to Dona Paula. In off-season, a taxi from Margaon will cost about Rs 400 and from Karmali about Rs 250. Mobike pilots are a cheaper option if you are not carrying much luggage. BY ROAD

From Mumbai
Buses leave VT, Bandra at about 3.30 p.m. 6:30 p.m. & 8:30 PM daily. The journey usually lasts 14 to 16 hours and costs about Rs 350-750.

From Bangalore
Buses from Bangalore leave around 6 p.m. and take 14 to 16 hours to arrive at Panjim and cost about Rs 400-550. The buses usually stop near the Mandovi Bridge Bus Station in Panjim. However, it is better to confirm where the bus will stop when you book your ticket. A taxi from the bus station to the International Centre costs about Rs 150.
